What Is OACCP?  

The Ohio Association of Child Care Providers is a state-wide association established for early learning providers. OACCP is the ONLY association dedicated to advocating for the interests of early learning providers in Ohio while encouraging the improvement in the quality of care available to the public.   As a state affiliate for the National Child Care Assoication (NCCA), OACCP has the benefit of ensuring that our state members are represented at national policy and legislative tables. 

Early learning education is a major business and a very important service involved in the development of our children. Early learning service providers:

  • Generate $1.95 billion annually and provide almost 57,000 jobs
  • Benefits all industries in the state by enabling parents to work productively outside the home and attend education programs to update their skills
  • Supports Ohio’s economic success by preparing future generations to succeed in school and in life

Yet this continues to be an industry where staff is underpaid, turnover is high and resources stretched to the breaking point.   OACCP has become the vehicle for our collective voice in Ohio. We need your voice as well. Join us today.  

What Can OACCP Do For Me?  

  • Advocacy – other center owners and directors are actively involved in OACCP, meeting with legislators, testifying in House and Senate hearings, and creating position papers. We are working on your behalf and can help you learn to advocate with us.  
  • Information – OACCP will keep you up-to-date with the latest legislative and regulatory information; our lobbying efforts and other current information concerning early learning topics.  
  • Networking – meet with others in your field. We offer conferences and other opportunities to meet and share information.  
  • Development – Attend seminars, conferences and training to enable you to run your center efficiently and effectively.  
  • Collaboration – work with other providers with similar issues and resources to make your ideas come to life.
