The Early Care and Education Consortium (ECEC) is a non-profit alliance of America’s leading national, regional, and independent providers of high-quality child care and early learning and development programs for young children. ECEC was formed in 1999 to create a provider voice to shape public policy in support of high-quality care and education for children and families. ECEC is the only national organization exclusively representing the voice of child care providers on Capitol Hill and in the states. ECEC represents those who implement the policies created in Congress and in the states.

The National Child Care Information Center (NCCIC), a service of the Child Care Bureau, is a national clearinghouse and technical assistance center that links parents, providers, policy-makers, researchers, and the public to early care and education information.

This network serves as a vehicle to positively impact the afterschool environment in Ohio. They bring together a number of systems and stakeholders, including policymakers, educators, parents, and service providers. Through the abilities of this network, their work will result in all Ohio families having access to high quality afterschool experiences.

 

The Ohio Child Care Resource & Referral Association (OCCRRA) promotes the positive development of all children, especially those in out-of-home learning environments. OCCRRA's membership consists of  resource and referral agencies providing services to families, early childhood professionals, and communities throughout Ohio.

The Ohio State Board of Education is looking for a clear vision and a strategic plan of action for school readiness that addresses the roles and relationships among parents and families, schools, employers, community-based organizations, civic leaders and the state of Ohio — and that meets the early learning needs of children from birth through kindergarten.
